This is an Age and Gender Graded Race in which everybody gets a head start time based upon how old they are and their gender. By giving each person an actual head start handicap everyone should be equal in terms of fairness and youthness. There fore everyone gets to race everyone. It doesn't matter if your young or old or a guy or a girl...
The Top 5 Runners to cross the Finish Line will receive the coveted "Beat the Grandpa" Embroidered Jackets...(the first person in gets to pick the size they want, then the 2nd, and 3rd, etc. so the 5th person is stuck with the size that is left over.
The first 50 finishers get HUGE 2-1/2" Custom Beat the Grandpa 8K Medals. There will also be a special overall award for the top finisher.
