RACE RESULTS....2008

Race Recap...Sat. morning turned out to be a very nice race morning with clear sky's, no wind and no trees down from the big storm that hit the night before. We apologize for the course markings that were completely wiped out from the storm. Usually there is a chalk line to follow from start to finish but mother nature had other plans. The race went off at 8a.m. with Suzanne being the first off the line and relished in the lead until eventual race winner Anne-lise Emig passed her and overcame a big fall with a little over a mile to go. Race lead biker official was quoted as saying "That fall actually won her the race" after she fell she seemed to get more energized and determined to win the race. The Old Guy in second was coming hard and fast and would have caught her had not she fell. Mike "I'M still fast at 50" Woodbeck gave a valiant pursuit but would come up short and finished second. Great Grandpa Knome awards to the Overall winners and Jackets to the top five plus 50 medals made from quite a day even if only a few went home with a pear! Hope to see you all at the T-rex.
